Elder Quentin L. Cook, a member of the Twelve Apostles, recently spokes of responsibilities seminary and institute teachers have in “helping young people make good choices, strengthening their testimonies, helping them see foolishness in its true light, preparing the rising generation for missionary service, and nurturing those who return to make correct choices.”

“One of the challenges today is to help students understand choices which, while not inherently evil, are not the best choices that they can make. In homes where family scripture study, family home evening and family prayer are not held, we need be a source of example, knowledge and spiritual strength that will allow the youth to avoid issues that would undermine their testimonies at the same time that we are building a doctrinal foundation for those testimonies."

The new Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Hospital will open its doors soon and we’re in the mood to celebrate.
This new facility, in addition to providing the care you’ve come to expect from Kaiser Permanente, will give you and your family convenient access to 24-hour emergency care, inpatient care, surgical services, a 24-hour pharmacy, and a wide range of medical specialties.
The event is free and promises fun and flavor for the whole family.

• We love to teach, movies and English literature.

STAKE BUILDING CLEAN UP

Dear Sisters,

We have been asked to help with the Stake Building Clean up. It is THIS Saturday, Sept. 12th from 9am - Noon. This clean up on Saturday is not just your normal weekly routine. It's a yearly cleansing. All wards will be cleaning their buildings thoroughly. It's part of our new responsibilities. You may want to bring a vacuum cleaner, hand held vacuum for benches, or any spot cleaner you may have. Remember....many hands will mean less work. The more we have there, the faster the job will go. See you there!!

Below are our areas of responsibility.

Ladies Restroom:
Replace if needed paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap
RS 4th
Women only
Check for plugged Toilets: unplug with plunger as needed

Chapel:
RS 4th Ward
Vacuum all carpets
Pick up any paper, programs, trash, food
Wipe off sacrament table
Wipe off counter tops in sacrament prep room
Wash bread sacrament trays in sacrament prep room
Empty trash in trash can in sacrament prep room
Place hymn books is racks in pews and book racks
Orderly place chairs in back rows if needed
Vacuum and spot clean upholstered benches and furniture
Check level of hand cleaner on side of Sacrament table
