October 2011 General Conference - My Highlights and Quote Cards

I -Announcements:
President Monson announced six new temples during the morning session of October General Conference:

  • in Paris (France;) Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo); Durban (South Africa); Barranquilla (Colombia); Star Valley (Wyoming), and
  • The Church will also rebuild the historic Provo, Utah Tabernacle – which was heavily damaged by fire in December 2010 – and convert it into another 'Provo' temple.
II - Releases
  • Elder Claudio Costa (my wonderful Institute Teacher in 19...) was released from the Presidency of the Seventy (He is serving since August 1, 2011 as President of Brazil Area)
  • Elder Richard Hinckley (my Missionary Stake leader in 20...) was released for Emeritus status
  • Elder Cecil O. Samuelson (still "my" Brigham Young University's President)

    Vou tentar fazer todos, sim, mas devagar. Estamos agitadas com a presenca da Sis Beck (discursando por 45 min em toda a Bay Area e adjacenciasem um dia so). (minha estaca sera a host e estarao agregadas mais 7, no nosso horario)- muitas providencias a serem tomadas.....
    By the way: o envelope que voce recebeu foi o primeiro ou o segundo? (Os Correios ainda estao em greve por ai?)
