Quote for Today!

"Faith in God includes faith in God's timing." (Elder Neal A. Maxwell)

Church leaders announce the 2016 Mutual theme

"Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ,"

is the Mutual theme for 2016, Church leaders announced

The theme is: “Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life” (2 Nephi 31:20).
The theme may be used to enrich Mutual opening exercises, as a topic for sacrament meeting talks by youth, or to provide focus for youth activities, including camps, youth conferences and devotionals, according to a letter sent to local Church leaders.
Resources for introducing the theme, including videos and music, will be available to leaders online by the end of 2015. Additional materials supporting the theme will be made available in Church magazines and on LDS.org throughout 2016, according to the letter.

'Get ye up into the mountain', by Sister Linda K. Burton

The Phoenix Arizona Temple, dedicated by President Thomas S. Monson on Nov. 16, 2014, is the 144th operating temple of the Church worldwide.

The Lord has often used mountains as a sacred place to teach His servants sacred things and reveal unto them His works and His will for His beloved children. ... Temples are the mountain of the Lord’s house in our day.
