Scaled Model Provides Salt Lake Temple Open House Experience

“This replica will show the millions of visitors who come to Temple Square the beauty and majesty of this sacred and historic building,” said Elder Richard G. Hinckley, executive director of the Missionary Department. “Like all temples, once the building is dedicated it is used for sacred Church purposes and not open to the general public, but this exhibit will provide the public with a glimpse of the interior and a feeling of the Spirit that is present there.”

Brasil, meu Brasil Brasileiro.........Picture of the Week

My husband is originally Danish, married me, Brazilian, living in USA. But, we are ready for 2010 Soccer World Cup, and of course, cheering for Brasil! (The correct spelling!)

Cute Stamp!

I got this stamp from Marcia of Facilidade. Very Cute! (Marcia, thanks for all you do! I really appreciate your stamp)

I would like to share it with all of you, and I saw many of you already got one. My list will be so big if I post all your blogs. I'll start with just 12 for  while:
  10. /
Obrigado.

Dr. Rey linked with missionary work

Roberto Miguel Rey Junior, best known as  Robert Rey, is a Brazilian plastic surgeon. He is in private practice in Beverly Hills and specializes in cosmetic surgery. Every year, he travels on humanitarian missions to operate on children with physical deformities.
At this time, among other feelings, he is bringing to Beverly Hills, in his hands and in his heart, the new friends he made in Brazil recently at São Paulo Temple.
Just about missionary work!

My blog is my Castle.

It is great to be back after a whole-busy-to do-week.
My trip was so good. I met and made  wonderful new friends. I have lots of ideas, I  had learned more about the Gospel. Now, it is time to work. So, let's go work! Lots of things for share with you!

2011 Primary Children's Sacrament Meeting Presentation

If I Listen With My Heart

Sally DefFord Music has the simplified version of his song of "If I Listen With My Heart" for inclusion in the 2011 Primary Children's Sacrament Meeting Presentation.
The original version has flute and guitar also. Take a look what Sally says about her daughter Amy, who wrote the song and download sheet music here

If I had been a little child when Jesus lived on earth
I would have liked to walk with Him and listen to his words
But as I search the scriptures I can hear His words of peace
And if I listen with my heart, I hear the Savior's voice

I hear a living prophet speak the things that Christ would say
If He were here upon the earth to talk with me today
The prophet teaches how to live in righteousness and peace
And if I listen with my heart, I hear the Savior's voice

I feel the Holy Spirit as he teaches truth and right
He comforts me in times of need, he testifies of Christ
He speaks to me in quiet ways that fill my soul with peace
And when I listen with my heart, I hear the Savior's voice

A Quote Business Card Message

For my inactive sisters, as Visiting Teacher, I had made a purse with a business card quote

What you need:

double  face decorative paper, the purse pattern and cuts

cut the paper, fold as indicated, cut and use your creative style

For  the business card I used VT Kit from Hot Pink Pansy

This idea is good for Young Women project, too!

Mom, I wish I could've said Goodbye!

This moment happens to many of us. It happened to me. I didn't get to say goodbye to my mother.  But her faith, her special care, her compassion, her devotion and, most importantly, her love for Jesus Christ and for all others around her will be treasured forever in our hearts. I'm so proud for being her daughter!
