Significant In Every Way

A young woman in South Africa reads her poem "Significant in Every Way," which celebrates the divine nature of young women as daughters of God and encourages them to be examples to others.

Sister's Pass Along Cards

Based in my last plane's conversation with one mom with difficulties, I felt that sometimes we, as Sisters in Zion, must have some "Pass Along" Cards like missionaries for an "emergency uplift hug".
So, from starting this month, I'll create one card every month; we can laminate it and have some inside our purse for emergencies.
This is my first one for July.  You can re-size it according your convenience. Feel free to download here

Pioneer Day's Celebration in "Helping Hands" style /
The Mormon Helping Hands program was officially established in 1998, and since then hundreds of thousands of volunteers have donated millions of hours of service to their communities. Although the program is most often associated with emergency response, disaster relief is only half of the story of Mormon Helping Hands.
The Mormon Helping Hands program in Brazil first garnered national attention for its humanitarian efforts and community projects in 2001 when Marco Maciel, then vice president of Brazil, thanked the Church for its service. By 2002, the Mormon Helping Hands program was named one of the most important volunteer organizations in Brazil.
This year, 2010,  starting with 115.000 volunteers, Brazilian members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,  differently of  the celebration by LDS members in United States, will celebrate on the Pioneer's Day Celebration another coordinated project all over their communities that include hospital, school, park and others.
